Kellie and Dave’s Special Day (11/18/23)
I recently had the joy of being the makeup artist and hair stylist for Kellie & Dave’s wedding, starting our day at the scenic Westlake Village Inn in California. This enchanting location served as the perfect setting for the bridal preparation.
Specializing in wedding beauty services across Santa Barbara, Ventura County, and nearby areas, it was a delight to bring Kellie’s vision to life on her special day.
The inspiration for the bride’s look
Kellie, a talented wedding photographer herself, had a clear vision for her day – a Tuscan-themed wedding that radiated the soft elegance of Italy.
Through emails and phone calls, we brainstormed inspiration ideas link this to the wedding gallery, focusing on creating a look that was sophisticated yet natural, reflecting Kellie’s preference for minimal makeup and an updo to keep her hair stylishly out of her face.
The bridal trial
Our first face-to-face meeting in August was crucial. It allowed us to refine her bridal look after Kellie had the opportunity to wear it for a day.
Trials like these are essential; they’re not just about perfecting the look, but also about building a relationship to ensure that you’re comfortable and your true beauty shines through on your big day.
The wedding day
The wedding day, November 18th, started at the beautiful Westlake Village Inn, nestled in the heart of Southern California.
Despite a little weather hiccup that moved the reception indoors, the day unfolded wonderfully.
