From getting ready at the stunning Hotel Californian to a beautiful Santa Barbara ceremony and an unforgettable reception, their day was filled with thoughtful details, timeless style, and so much love.
Getting Ready at Hotel Californian
The morning began at Hotel Californian, one of Santa Barbara’s most stylish and beautiful places to get ready. With its coastal California setting, modern design, and gorgeous light, it was the perfect backdrop for the start of Tammy’s wedding day. For her bridal hair and makeup, the goal was polished, romantic, and completely her. We created a soft, elevated bridal look that photographed beautifully while still allowing Tammy to feel like herself. One of my favorite parts of wedding mornings is those quiet moments before everything begins—the laughter, the excitement, the finishing touches, and that moment when a bride finally sees the whole look come together. And Tammy looked absolutely stunning.
The Blue Manolos
Of course, we have to talk about the shoes. Tammy’s gorgeous blue Manolo Blahniks were one of those details that immediately made the day feel personal and fun. The iconic blue pumps were such a beautiful pop of color against her classic white gown—and yes, they definitely gave us a little Sex and the City Carrie Bradshaw moment. There’s just something about a bride who isn’t afraid to add a little personality to her wedding-day look. The blue shoes, elegant jewelry, classic gown, and soft bridal beauty all came together perfectly
A Beautiful Santa Barbara Wedding
After getting ready, Tammy and Randal headed off to celebrate their marriage in Santa Barbara. Santa Barbara is such a naturally beautiful place for a wedding. Between the Spanish architecture, coastal light, palm trees, and relaxed California atmosphere, it has a way of making wedding photographs feel timeless without trying too hard. Tammy and Randal’s day captured that feeling perfectly. Their photographer, Leah Sofia Photo, documented all of the beautiful in-between moments along with the big ones. Her photography has a romantic, timeless, documentary-inspired feel, which was such a beautiful fit for their day. Leah also helped coordinate the wedding, bringing both her photography and event expertise to the celebration.
The Reception
After the ceremony, the celebration continued with a beautiful reception filled with gorgeous florals, music, family, friends, and plenty of reasons to celebrate. Floristry By Bria brought the floral vision to life with artistic, contemporary arrangements that complemented the setting beautifully. The florals added just the right amount of color and texture without taking away from the elegance of the day. And when it was time to celebrate, Two Towns Sound helped set the tone for the reception and kept the energy going. It was the kind of wedding day that felt beautiful but never overly staged—romantic, joyful, personal, and full of those little details that make a wedding uniquely yours.
